Can a recruiting service help get me get a football scholarship?

Recruiting services will increase your chances over a do it yourself (DIY) football scholarship recruiting. There is a lot of knowledge, tips and tricks that make you stand out above others. We do this every day where you may be doing this for the first time.

Not all college recruiting services offer the same college exposure and prices are all over the place. Trying to save money here won't be wise. Getting the most college recruit exposure for your hard earned money is the logical solution.

We will answers these questions :

Q1) How do you know if the recruiting service will, does, or did anything?

Q2) How many coaches really see your athletic profile / resume?

Q3) Where and how can you build a good athlete / coach relationship?

Comparing 3 different types of recruiting services (we will start with us since we offer the broadest capabilities):

Type 1)

Us, eScout4u. Based upon the cold hard football recruiting facts we don't judge or evaluate you, but we can deliver your highlight videos, stats and information directly to football colleges (up to 5600 college coaches, recruiters and staff ), if fact your video can go directly to their smart phone, this way the coach can watch your highlight videos where they are without logging in to a web site. Cool!

We are the only service that can do this, period. Since 1979 we have developed highly sophisticated software. We use the internet to the fullest to help you, drawing from our extensive knowledge to bring the most innovation high tech methods to get you noticed by college coaches, at the lowest cost, with the highest percentages of success.

We don't stop there. You send follow-ups to all the same coaches to show you are interested in their program. The old "Barking dog get attention" adage.

Bonus, if you start early, before your senior year, you get to do all the above twice, before and then during your senior year.

In short you can get up to 22,400 chances to set up an athletic / coach relationship to get a football scholarship. Most choose the maximum exposure level.

All of this includes all your contact information so coaches can contact you directly (no middleman)

Q1) How do you know if the recruiting service will, does, or did anything?

1. You will proof the web page when completed before we mark it OK to send.

2. You will send it when and where you decide (up to 22,400 chances). If fact we are the only service that let's you "test drive" before you buy.

3, Since you do all the sends, you know it got done.

4. Since we never act in a middleman capacity, proof is when you get replies directly from coaches.

Q2) How many coaches really see your athletic profile / resume?

1. Up to 5600 college coaches, recruiters and staff. You choose. They will see it twice if you start early. With us the coach will only see what you sent. Not a bunch of athletes that need the same position as you. Also coaches with smart phones can see it on it as well as their computer and forward it others as well.

Q3) Where and how can you build a good athlete / coach relationship?

1. It starts when a coach directly replies to you. We do not have an athlete /middleman / coach relationship. It is always better to cut out the middleman, after all who can talk better about yourself than you?

Type 2)

You fill out the information on a standard web page, colleges coaches can search their database, recruiting service recruiter (RSR) evaluates you then presents you to xx number of colleges coaches, coach talks to the RSR (now the middleman), college coach has to have a login to retrieve your information to contact you.

Q1) How do you know if the recruiting service will, does, or did anything?

1. There is now way to prove it. Good question to ask their high pressure sales people. We did talk to parent and athletes that called colleges that supposedly had interest in them only to find out the colleges never heard of them.

Q2) How many coaches really see your athletic profile / resume?

1. Coaches will have to login to search athletes. You won't be special because the coach will see others like yourself. A coach can forward your profile however they can give their login password to others coaches to see it.

Q3) Where and how can you build a good athlete / coach relationship?

1. To start with it will be a athlete / middleman / coach relationship. The problem I see is this give the middleman an opportunity to talk about other athletes for the same position as well as for the coaches to search up other athletes. If and when your athlete /coach relationship begins it will be later and depend on how well others represent you. I always feel better representing myself.

Type 3)

They evaluate you and if you are good enough (so they say, but if you pay you are good enough), they gather information and make a PDF profile and a CD/DVD then let you choose a limited number of colleges. Colleges you are interested in, then they mail your PDF profile and DVD to those college coaches, then act as a middleman. Coaches have to contact the recruiting service recruiter (RSR) to get your contact information.

Q1) How do you know if the recruiting service will, does, or did anything?

1. There is now way to prove it. This method to me is very outdated, limited and inefficient but is still is a good question to ask their sales people.

Q2) How many coaches really see your athletic profile / resume?

1. I can tell you that CD /DVD's can get broke in the mail. I know this from personal experience. To me this is an extra burden on the coach to load it on a computer to watch it.

Q3) Where and how can you build a good athlete / coach relationship?

1. From what I have seen To start with it will be a athlete / middleman / coach relationship. The problem I see is this give the middleman an opportunity to talk about other athletes for the same position as well as for the coaches to search up other athletes. If and when your athlete /coach relationship begins it will be later and depend on how well others represent you. I always feel better representing myself.

Summary

Next question is "Do you really want a middleman?" Think not. Does anyone know you well enough to represent you? How you feel, what drives you, how you went the extra mile, what goes through your mind when the ball snaps. You get my point.

The real question is "What is the cost per contact / chance?" We are not going to use the actual cost but use this as an example to compare, i.e. Type 3 charges $2,000 for 20 colleges, that equals $100. per chance. Type 1 charges the same $2,000 for 22,400 chances that equals 9 cents per chance.
